Today I made a pie with a good friend, Tamsen.  She inspires me.  To live intentionally.  To seek God.  To love others.  And to garden & to bake & to sew aprons.

And she taught me lots about life:

  • How to cut butter into flour to make a pie crust.
  • That vanilla beans + a bottle of run or vodka makes authentic vanilla for baking.
  • If I am perfect, I leave no room for a perfect God.
  • Planting green onions next to tomato plants in a garden keeps tomato bugs away (hate those fat guys!).
  • John 15 came alive when her Dad gave a lesson about grafting trees to bear fruit.
  • And, that brushing egg whites on the top  of a pie makes it shine.

I love my friend!!
